Today Marvel announced new release dates for Iron Man 2, Thor, The First Avenger:Captain America, and the Avengers.

The new dates are:

Iron Man 2- May 7, 2010 (unchanged)

Thor- June 17, 2011

The First Avenger:Captain America- July 22, 2011

Avengers- May 4, 2012

“This new schedule strongly sequences Marvel’s movie debut dates, big screen character introductions and momentum. It maximizes the visibility of our single character-focused films, leading to the highly anticipated release of the multi-character ‘The Avengers’ film in 2012,” – David Maisel, Chairman, Marvel Studios.

Marvel and Sony Entertainment also announced May 6, 2011 as the release date for Spider-Man # 4

Thor
Kenneth Branagh is gong to direct’ “Thor” which is scheduled to be released July 16, 2010.

Iron Man 2
“Iron Man 2″ will begin principal photography in early April

X Men Origins: Wolverine will be in theaters May 1st!
