Amanda Conner & Jimmy Palmiotti at Tate’s Comics: Part Three

In the  conclusion of our interview with Jimmy & Amanda we talk Wednesday comics, Painkiller Jane, The Pro, and the Johna Hex movie.

I want to thank Jimmy and Amanda for taking the time to sit down with us after a long day of signing. They really are two of the nicest people I have ever met. I also want to thank Tate and Amanda from Tate’s Comics for letting us film in their store.

Watch Jimmy & Amanda banter with each other, as I talk toy designs with Amanda. Filmed at Tate’s Comics.

We got the chance to sit down with Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti at Tate’s Comics in Fort Lauderdale. Below is part one of three of our conversation.

Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray are teaming up with IDW for a five-issue series: The Last Resort.

The Last Resort is a zombie epic set in a Caribbean paradise that is turned into a biological waste land. Giancarlo Caracuzzo will serve as the series artist. Issue one will have two covers by one Amanda Conner and another by Darwin Cooke. The Last Resort will hit stores in July.
Go to IDW for more on the series including a 6 page preview.

The panel started off with Dan DiDio announcing that the Mayor of Orlando had declared February 28, 2009 George Perez day. New Batman Titles:

Red Robin and Batgirl are both going to have their own series. Dan would not say who would be behind the masks of these heroes.

Batman Streets of Gotham & Gotham City Sirens will both be written by Paul Dinny. This is the first time that the creator of Harley Quinn will be writing her in DC continuity.

Rebirth:

Green Lantern Rebirth and Flash rebirth will be combined to create Absolute Rebirth.

There will be a Superman/Flash Race in Flash Rebirth #3!

Blackest Night:

Bruce Wayne will be addressed in issue #0

The Hawks will be very prominent in Darkest Night

Jonah Hex:

Issue #50 will be a double sized issue with Darwin Cook as the artist.
