Attending the panel were: Tony Bedard, Dan Jurgens, Jimmy Palmiotti, Dan DiDio, George Perez, Ethan Van Sciver, Director of Sales Vince Letterio, and Billy Tucci. The panel started off with Dan DiDio announcing that the Mayor of Orlando had declared February 28, 2009 George Perez day. Of course Batman was a big topic; Dan announced that after the conclusion of Battle of the Cowl there is going to be a relaunch of Batman and Robin, Detective Comics, and Batman (they will pick up with the current issue numbers).

New Batman Titles:

Red Robin and Batgirl are both going to have their own series. Dan would not say who would be behind the masks of these heroes.

Batman Streets of Gotham & Gotham City Sirens will both be written by Paul Dinny. This is the first time that the creator of Harley Quinn will be writing her in DC continuity.

Rebirth:

Green Lantern Rebirth and Flash rebirth will be combined to create Absolute Rebirth.

There will be a Superman/Flash Race in Flash Rebirth #3!

Blackest Night:

Bruce Wayne will be addressed in issue #0

The Hawks will be very prominent in Darkest Night

Jonah Hex:

Issue #50 will be a double sized issue with Darwin Cook as the artist.

Red Circle:

There will be four one shots featuring four different Red Circle characters.

We are currently editing footage taken from the show floor, interviews & panels. In the mean time here is a quick run down of what we experienced:

Went to the DC panel where Dan DiDio announced that the mayor of Orlando had officially declared February 28, 2009 George Perez day. Got the chance to talk to Dan Didio about all the new DC Comic books based on heroines. Zatanna, Powergirl, & Batgirl are all getting their own on going series.

Interviewed Kelly Yates; creator, writer, and artist of Amber Adams.

Interviewed Alison Acton; creator, writer and artist of Bear Nuts webcomic and artist on The Faerie Path manga.

Got autographs from Margot Kidder & Lou Ferrigno.

Met Phil Morris who was my favorite of the Media Guests. He told us that a new season of Smallville has been announced & that it looks like John Jones will be in it.

Went to the Marvel panel where I learned that Ed McGuinness is weak according to Frank Cho & Humberto Ramos serenaded the audience.

We (along with all other attendees) where constantly offered free hugs from cosplayers some were charging for the hugs. The anime costume contest was absolutely insane.

Stay Tunned for more news & viedos from the convention.
