Variety reports that the comic book Deadworld is being adapted into a zombie feature franchise. David Hayter (Watchmen) will write the script. Gary Reed who co-created the comic will serve has an executive producer.

Deadworld takes place four months after the world has been overtaken by zombies. The Zombie King, Protag holds a grudge against the survivors who made him an outcast. The plan is to begin production next year.
