True Blood is based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels written by Charlaine Harris. The series takes place in a world were the invention of synthetic blood has allowed vampires to live among humans without poising a threat (not all vampires like the taste of synthetic blood and some still hunt humans). Most people are still apprehensive of the vampires and their presence sparks religious and political debates.
Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) is a waitress in the small town of Bon Temps Louisiana. Sookie can read people’s thoughts which has left her feeling like an outsider and makes her more open minded to the integration of vampires.
When 173-year-old vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) moves into her small town she is welcomes him, despite her friends objections. As Sookie and Bill develop a relationship (Sookie can not read his mind which makes her extremely attracted to him) she finds herself in mysterious and dangerous situations.
If you haven’t checked out season one yet you should. It is a great show that gets you hooked the minute the credits begin. Season two premiers Sunday June 14th at 9:00 PM.
According to The Hollywood Reporter Katee Sackhoff (Kara Starbuck on Battlestar Galactica) will be co-staring on Fox’s 24 next season. Katee will be playing Dana Walsh an expert data analyst at CTU, who is involved with fellow CTU agent Davis Cole. Cole a U.S. Marine who wants to follow in Jack Bauer’s footsteps will be played by Freddie Prinze Jr.
20th Century Fox plans to produce 26 new episodes of Futurama, which will begin airing on Comedy Central in mid 2010.
Billy West (Philip Fry), Katey Sagal (Leela) and John DiMaggio (Bender) have all signed on to return.
As part of the deal with Comedy Central Fox has the option to license the new episode’s original airings to a broadcast network. If that were to happen Comedy Central would pay a reduced licensing fee.

Robert Knepper (best known for his role on Prison Break) will play a new lead villain on Heroes next season. His character Samuel’ is charismatic but evil, with a twisted sense of humor who will appear in at least six episodes. His presence will affect all of the heroes’ lives.
Heroes returns to NBC in the Fall at a new 8:00 PM time slot.
The Goode Family is a new animated series from Mike Judge (King of the Hill, Beavis and Butt-head, Office Space), John Altschuler & Dave Krinsky (King of the Hill, Blades of Glory).
With standards always changing, no matter how hard you try to be good, it’s virtually impossible these days . . . especially for the Goode family.
Gerald (a college administrator) and Helen Goode (a community activist), live by the motto “What Would Al Gore Do. The Goodes are determined to obliterate their carbon footprint on the planet, but something always goes wrong with their politically correct plans.
They have two children; adopted son Ubuntu, (he was adopted from Africa, only later did they realize he is from South African and white) and a Daughter Bliss who is mortified by her parents. The family dog Che is rebelling against his vegan diet (squirrels, cats, rabbits, and birds are disappearing all over the neighborhood).
The Goode Family Premiers at 9/8 central tonight (May 27th) on ABC.
The Goode Family is voiced by Mike Judge as Gerald, Nancy Carell as Helen, Dave Herman as Ubuntu, Linda Cardellini as Bliss and Brian Doyle Murray as Charlie.
CBS has picked up NBC’s Medium which will air on Fridays before Ghost Whisperer.
The Big Bang Theory moves to the 9:30 time slot on Mondays. A new comedy Accidentally On Purpose will its 8:00 time slot.
The Mentalist is coming back for a second season. There will be a NCI spinoff NCIS LA. The network has greenlit two medical dramas Three Rivers and Miami Trauma.
And 24 will be back on January 17, 2010 for its 8th season.
