It is official: DC Direct is on a mission to make me go broke. They are really pulling out all the stops for the Green Lantern movie merchandise.
First up are two deluxe busts of Hal Jordon and Sinestro. The busts feature them merging from a swirl of emerald energy. They stand approximately 7.75″ high x 5″ wide x 3.5″ deep. Both are limited to 3,500 pieces, cost $125, and are scheduled to be in stores on June 15, 2011.
I love these busts, but I am not sure with their choice of facial expression for Hal.
There is also a bust line consisting of Hal, Sinestro, Kilowog, and Tomar Re. East of the bust will cost $85. Hal and Sinestro will be limited to 5,000 pieces and are scheduled to be released on June 1st. Kilowog and Tomar Re will be limited to 4,000. pieces and are scheduled to be released on June 8th.
There will also be a Guardian Bust included in this line that will be limited to 4,000 pieces and is scheduled to be in stores on June 8th, the photos have yet to be released.
I am BLOWN AWAY with the detail on Kilowog and Tomar Re!
Next up is a Hal Jordon Maquette. The statue stands approximately 14.5″ high x 8″ wide x 9″ deep. It will be limited to 4,000 pieces, cost $195 and is scheduled to be in stores on June 1st.
The pose and the detail are great, but they ruined it (again) for me with their choice of facial expression.
And finally the one that I am going to break down and buy: Hal Jordon Emerald Energy Statue.
The statues stands approximately 9.34″ high x 6.5″ wide x 13. It will be limited to 2,500 pieces, cost $195 and is scheduled to be in stores on June 8th.
