I think this line is starting to get out of hand…
Artemis is a great looking statue, the only problem? She is the exact same mold as Wonder Woman version 1. Don’t get me wrong the first Wonder Woman Ame-Comi statue is one of my favorites, but changing her hair brown, eyes green, and costume sliver does not make her a new character!
On the other hand I am thrilled to see the Ame-Comi Catwoman Version 1 (Purple) for two reasons:
#1 I think Selina should always be in purple
#2 I absolutely loved this statue when it was first released…but when the Ame-Comi line first came out they were a mess. The statues couldn’t stand on their own, the plastic was so weak their legs ended up bending to the point they had to be boxed up and put in storage. Thankfully the problems were fixed (we only really had problems with Catwoman and Batgirl Version 1 and the Power Girl statues) & now I can buy the statue I loved so much in PURPLE and display her again!
Before the line was released there were photos of the Catwoman prototypes in Black & in Purple, there were also prototypes of Batgirl in Grey and Blue (the colors of the statue that was released) and in Black and Gold…I am hoping that since they are releasing the Catwoman statue, the second version of Batgirl will also be released in the near future.
Both statues will be released on Novembmer 10th and cost $60.00.
