I have fond memories of seeing certain movies in black & white, not in theaters mind you (I’m not that old), but on the T.V. set back in the day. Some of those movies, at least the romantic ones, had a certain look and feel to them, especially those scenes that were held in the nighttime. When I see a modern film, or even a music video that tries to emulate that look from the past, it somehow comes off as feeling a little empty.
Well, awhile ago, I came across this short piece that captures the essence of days gone by. There is absolutely no dialog whatsoever, and the entire piece was nothing more then a VFX (visual effects) showcase. Yet, despite those two seemingly negative points, the team at Spy Films captured a moment in time that could be described as something that resides in many a mere fantasy. If you’re a romantic at heart or an aspiring VFX creator then check the piece out, I’m sure you’ll like it as I did.
