The Hulk – Coming Back to TV

I enjoyed watching the original Hulk series when I was a kid (1978-1982), now kids from this generation will get their chance to experience the transformation of Dr. David Bruce Banner into the Hulk, although I get the feeling that this new TV series will not be aimed towards kids.

The movies Hulk & The Incredible Hulk were not well received, but The Hulk comics do well. So it stands to reason that the producers & writers of the new Hulk TV series will incorporate the story lines of the comics. Dr. Banner will be the highlight of the show with the Hulk appearing only when there’s major action, and there will be other members of Marvel’s universe in the TV series. Or, it just may follow the script of the original TV series. The series will premiere either the fall of 2011 or 2012.

Joss Whedon Directing Avengers?

Variety is reporting that Joss Whedon and Marvel Studios are close to wrapping up a deal that would bring him on board to direct the much anticipated Avengers Film. They are also reporting that Whedon will rewrite Zak Penn’s script.

Joss Whedon has created and directed Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Dollhouse, and Angel, Serenity is his only feature film directing credit.

The film is scheduled to be released on May 4, 2012. It will star Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. It is still unclear weather or not Edward Norton will reprise his role as the Hulk.
