Jerry Robinson 1922-2011
Jerry Robinson, creator of the Joker passed away last night in his sleep. He was 89 years old.
Greg and I had the opportunity to meet Jerry in 2008. I remember how kind and unassuming he was. He talked about his past working in comics, creating the Joker, and told a lot of stories about how rough the comic book industry was in the early days.
He was a huge advocate for artist’s rights. He spoke about Jerry Seigel and Joe Shuster’s struggles and his battle to get them proper credit and payment for creating Superman.
He was an amazing man, and Greg and I are honored to have heard him speak and to have gotten the chance to meet him. Some photos we took that night are below.

Wasn’t it just last [...]

Kotobukiya is at it again (and by that I mean trying to take all my money!). They are continuing their Marvel and DC Bishoujo lines, this time with Poison Ivy and Mystique statues. First Up is Mystique. The thing I really like about this statue is that she is sitting down, sometimes the bases on these statues [...]

We all knew once DC announced it’s reboot/renumbering of 52 titles, that news would be trickling out between now and the time that the first issue hits the stands.
