Raphael Saadiq has been my favorite musician since before I could drive, and when I did get my first car the only thing that ever played in the CD player was Tony Toni Tone. I have happily purchased all of their CDs, the Lucy Pearl CD, and all three of Rapheal’s solo albums (four if you count the live album), and I have loved every one of them. His latest album “The Way I See It” came out last fall and is by far my favorite. It is a throw back to the 50′s and 60′s. Raphael’s voice fits that time period perfectly. There is not one bad track on the record, I can (and have) listened to it all day with out out getting tired of it. My favorite track is “The 100 Yard Dash”.
