With just three episodes left and the just released hot & controversial Rolling Stone magazine cover featuring Sookie, Bill, and Eric naked & sprinkled in blood, we decided to compile a list of 30 of the hottest and sexiest men, past, present & future of  HBO’s vampire hit, True Blood. If you have been following the series or reading the Sookie Stackhouse novels by author Charlaine Harris, then you know that True Blood is about more than just vampires. Telepaths, shape-shifters, and wolves, are but a few of the supernatural beings that make up this exciting series. Let’s take a look at some of the men, that make this series so fun to watch:

Sam Trammell

Perhaps the most important character in this series, Sam Trammell a New Orleans native plays Sam Merlotte, the shape-shifter that owns “Merlotte’s Bar and Grill” in the fictional small town of Bon Temps, Louisiana, where Sookie Stackhouse works and where a lot of action takes place. When he’s not shapeshifting, you can catch Sam showing off his comedy skills on the website funny or DIE.

Ryan Kwanten

If I were to have ask you who Ryan Kwanten was before the success of True Blood, your likely response would be, Ryan who? But today that’s a whole different story, now this Australian native is well known as Sookie’s dim-witted brother Jason Stackhouse. But being dim-witted is not the only endearing quality that he possesses. He also has every woman in Bon Temps on speed dial, but currently, he has his sights on a mysterious girl with a secret named Crystal Norris.

Nelsan Ellis

What can we say about this actor, other than he has the power to raise the dead? This IIIinois native and graduate of Juilliard plays Lafayette Reynolds a short order cook at Merlotte’s, a drug dealer, a member of Jason Stackhouse’s road crew, and a gay prostitute. In Charlaine’s novel he is found murdered early in the series but on True Blood they decided to keep him alive, and it’s no wonder, because his skillful acting has brought the character of Lafayette to life! Season 3 has introduced Lafayette to Jesus Velasquez, his newly found love interest who happens to be the orderly caretaker of Lafayette’s mother Ruby Jean Reynolds.

Jim Parrack

Better known to all of us as Hoyt Fortenberry or just “Hoyt” he is shy, kind hearted, and currently Jason Stackhouse’s roomate. He is currently dating a local girl named Summer, which we’ve recently discovered he’s doing because it gets his mind off of Jessica Hamby, a young vampire who was “made” by Bill Compton. This 6ft 4in Texas native is currently living the L.A dream as an actor, as stated on his MySpace page.

Stephen Moyer

Stephen is an English actor from Essex and plays Bill Compton the vampire who is currently involved in a love triangle with Sookie Stackhouse played by Anna Paquin (who he is currently engaged to in real life), and as we all know by now, can be seen naked on the current issue of Rolling Stone with Anna Paquin and Alexander Skarsgard who plays Eric Northman the other vampire that is involved in the love triangle.

Alexander Skarsgard

This Swedish actor portrays Eric Northman a 1,000 year old vampire, the Sheriff of Area 5 (a vampire district in Louisiana), and runs the vampire bar Fangtasia, in Shreveport. Besides making the cover of the now infamous Rolling Stone naked cover, you will be seeing him in these two upcoming movies “Straw Dogs” and “Battleship”.

Todd Lowe

Singer, Guitarist, and Actor from Texas, he plays Terry Bellefleur a Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTDS) Iraqi war veteran and cousin of Detective Andy Bellefleur (now Sheriff of Bon Temps). Terry’s job as a short order cook in Merlotte’s Bar and Grill and his interest in Arlene Fowler, one of the waitresses at Merlotte’s has taken a new turn this season and will likely get ramped up when he finds out about the secret that we recently discovered Arlene is hiding from him.

Mehcad Brooks

Austin, Texas native with a resume that says; Fashion Model & Actor but better known as “Eggs”, appeared in Season 2 as a guest of the wealthy & mysterious social worker Maryann Forrester. “Eggs” went on to develop a love interest with local Bon Temps resident Tara Thornton and although he didn’t make it to Season 3, you can catch “Eggs” shirtless in a sexy spread in the July 2010 GQ magazine.

Michael Raymond-James

Cast in the first season of True Blood as Rene Lenier. For those of you that haven’t watched True Blood yet, his role as the main antagonist toward the end of Season 1 is pivotal so we’ll spare you the details, but what we can tell you is that Rene is not a fan of vampires!

Marshall Allman

Already well known by the fans of the TV series Prison Break, he is proving his mettle again as a shape-shifter in this third season of True Blood. Tommy Mickens is his character’s name and he has an interesting relationship with Sam Merlotte. We would tell you more but with only three episodes left, we are eagerly looking forward to the development of the relationship between him and Sam.

Kevin Alejandro

I’m not gay but I play one on TV, might be this San Antonio, Texas native’s new motto as was highlighted by a recent article/interview on the website After Elton. Although he’s had plenty of “straight” roles as an actor, as Jesus Velazquez in this third season of True Blood, he has a serious crush on Lafayette and watching these two talented actors onscreen, makes it seem all too real.

Grant Bowler

Hailing from Auckland, New Zealand, he is cast as Cooter, a redneck biker werewolf and a leader of a vicious pack of werewolf’s in this third season, of which he is in 7 episodes.

Wes Brown

A native of Baton Rouge, he played Luke McDonald as a member of Fellowship of the Sun in Season 2 for seven episodes. He was depicted as a friend, enemy, and rival of Jason Stackhouse which led to some unexpected consequences.

Joe Manganiello

This is what happens when you train for months to add muscle to your body, along with growing a beard & getting a tan. That’s a definite prescription to HOTNESS! If you ask me, but you needn’t ask me because you can see it for yourself. If the ratings have gone up for True Blood this season, thank this man.

HBO  announced that Joe Manganiello will be a series regular. So expect to see a lot of Alcide Herveaux, if it plays out anything like the books, it is going to get hot and heavy between him and Sookie.

Theo Alexander

The vampire consort of Russell Edgington, Talbot has his sights set on Eric Northman but as proven in Season 3, you have to be careful for what you wish for. Theo hails from Greece and although not well known to American fans, his stock has risen dramatically from being on True Blood for six episodes.

James Frain

Bon Temps resident & Merlotte’s Bar and Grill bar tender Tara Thornton has found a new love in her life for Season 3. So much so, that she has totally forgotten about “Eggs”. With the unrequited love of vampire Franklin Mott, Tara has to dig deep within her soul to “survive” Franklin’s love for seven episodes. James Frain has made some new lady fans with this role and perhaps will make a few more with his upcoming “villainous” role in the new TV series The Cape.

Allan Hyde

This Danish 20 year old plays Godric, Eric Northman’s “maker” for five episodes. That’s a hefty role to play for someone so young, but he proved himself in the second season and we look forward to seeing him in future projects.

James Harvey Ward

This Greenville, North Carolina native plays Felton Norris a shape-shifter and the supposed fiancé of Jason Stackhouse new love interest Crystal Norris, in this third season for five episodes.

John Hillard

A Chicago native, John plays Hank, a big rig truck driver that had the unfortunate fate of meeting a young vampire named Jessica Hamby on the very last episode of Season 2 and for the first two episodes of Season 3. John makes appearances on many TV shows, so keep an eye out for him.

Kanin Howell

An Austin, Texas native that has appeared on many television shows but on True Blood he played Chuck, a Bon Temps resident that didn’t like “vamps”. He appeared on three episodes in the groundbreaking first season.

Ed Quinn

Hailing from Berkeley, California, he was cast in three episodes of Season 2 as Stan Davis, Godric’s vampire lieutenant in Texas and wanted to wage a war against Fellowship of the Sun. You can catch Ed on television doing various projects.

Christopher Gartin

A New York native, he had the role of playing Hugo Ayers, a human boyfriend to Godric’s other vampire lieutenant Isabel in three episodes of Season 2. It was later revealed that he was an informant of Fellowship of the Sun. In July 2010 the gossips rags posted a “rumor” that he was dating Jennifer Aniston.

Kevin McHale

Better known as one of the stars of the hit TV show “Glee”, he appeared on the first season as a coroner’s assistant named Neil Jones for two episodes.

Preston Jones

Blink and you might have missed him. A Dallas, Texas native, he played as one of the members of Fellowship of the Sun named Dirk for two episodes, and his famous line if you caught it was, Die Fangers! You can see him play “Chip” in the yet to be released movie “Spring Break 83”.

Andy Mackenzie

A drummer in a metal band and appearing in many TV shows, he plays a  werewolf in two episodes of Season 3 and is known simply as Creepy Biker.

Grey Damon

This 6ft 2in up & coming star, appeared on “Friday Night Lights” and in True Blood he got Jason Stackhouse upset when he found out that that he might be breaking his football passing record. When Jason asked “Hoyt” who he was, he told him that he was Bon Temps star quarterback Kitch Maynard and he appeared for two episodes in Season 3.

Jull Weber

Jul Sanfiorenzo or Jull Weber as he is better known is a multifaceted individual. Dancer, Actor, Producer, Choreographer and host of Quien Baila Mejor? A Latin American dance show, he appeared as a vampire dancer for two episodes of Season 1 and is known simply as Vampire Dancer.

Greg Cipes

What does Greg Cipes not do? Shaun Guttridge

Hailing from Alexandria, Virginia, he appeared for three episodes on this third season a member of the Vampire Guard. He is also a professional MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fighter, and has a role in two upcoming movies “Warrior” and “Thor”.
