Variety is reporting that AMC has ordered a pilot based on Robert Kirkman’s  “The Walking Dead”.

“The Walking Dead” follows a group who travel the country in search of safety after a surviving a zombie apocalypse.

Frank Darabont wrote the adaptation and will direct the pilot. Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, and Frank Darabont will serve as executive producers.
