Fans already know that this will be the 10th and final season of Smallville, what you may not be aware of are all the characters coming back. Here is a quick break down.
John Schneider-Jonathan Kent will appear in the season premiere “Lazarus”
Laura Vandervoort-Kara Kent will appear in an episode entitled “Supergirl”
Also returning are:
Alessandro Juliani-Dr. Emil Hamilton.
Michael Shank- Carter Hall,Hawkman
Michael Ironside-General Sam Lane
Peyton List-Lucy Lane
There are new characters making their first appearances as well. Keri Lynn Pratt will portray Cat Grant.
The KryptonSite broke the news that Sahar Biniaz will play Shayera (Hawkgirl) and Bradley Stryker will portray the villain Deadshot. It was also announced that Booster Gold and Blue Beetle will make appearances, and that Darkseid will be the main villain. The new season will premiere on Friday, September 24th.
I have to admit that I am still not caught up with season nine (running Comi Girl has really eaten into my television viewing time), so I don’t have really strong feelings about any of this news. I got the feeling last season that they are throwing some characters in the mix, just to test the waters for what the next Superhero show should be…personally I don’t know why Aquaman wasn’t picked up (if you haven’t seen the pilot episode yet, make sure you download it from iTunes now…you won’t be disappointed!), or why they don’t give Birds of Prey another shot….what is your reaction to all the casting news?
