Based on the novel by The Note Book‘s Nicholas Sparks, ‘Dear John’ tells story of John, a young soldier home on leave, and Savannah, the idealistic college student he falls in love with. After 911 John reenlists in the army. Over seven tumultuous years, the couple is separated by John’s deployments. They stay in touch by sending love letters, which trigger fateful consequences.
Dear John stars Amanda Seyfried, and Channing Tatum and is directed by Lasse Halstrom. It will be in theaters on February 5, 2010.
