It has been over a year since we reported any news about the 47 Ronin film… I was beginning to think the movie wasn’t going to happen. But today Variety is reporting that four Japanese actors have been cast to play along side Keanu Reeves in the adaption: Hiroyuki Sanada (The Last Samurai & Lost), Rinko Kikuchi (Babel), Tadanobu Asano (plays Hogun in Thor), and Kou Shibasaki.
“47 Ronin” is based on a true story that follows a band of samurai swordsmen who avenge the death of their master in 18th Century Japan. It is scheduled to be released in 3D on November 11, 2012.
