Phil Jimenez has signed an exclusive deal with DC Comics and I couldn’t be happier!
Infinite Crisis is one of the first stories that really drew me into comics, so I have seen and enjoyed Phil’s artwork since the beginning of my descent into comic book madness and now he is coming back to my favorite publisher!
According to the Source Phil’s first project will be an Adventure Comics arc: Phil’s ADVENTURE arc begins in February with issue #523, where we really get to know the new class attending “Legion Academy.” These teens-in-training are perfect vehicles for anyone wanting to know more about the future world of the DC Universe. “Academy” is a ground-floor entry point for any new reader that feels daunted by the myriad players and planets of DC’s 31st century.
It is funny that the Source talks about being “daunted by the myriad players and planets of DC’s 31st century” that is actually why I stopped reading Adventure comics after Geoff Johns and Francis Manapul’s Superboy story arc, but I might have to give it another shot now that Phil is on board.
