Marvel Studios Chairman To Step Down

Variety is reporting that Marvel Studios Chairman David Maisel will step down from his position once the Disney’s acquisition of Marvel is finalized (which is expected before the end of the year). Maisel will still act as an execitve producer on “Thor” and “The First Avenger: Captain America”.

Kirby Heirs Reclaiming Copyrights

Jack Kirby’s four children have served 45 notices of termination to Marvel, Disney, Sony Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Paramount Pictures and Universal Pictures. The notices express intent to regain copyrights, some as early as 2014.
