This is one of my daughter’s favorite anime. I wanted to watch a few episodes to make sure it was suitable for her to watch. I ended up buying 3 DVDs and watching about 12 episodes. No giant mecha or ninja sword action, this anime caters mostly to young girls, and I can see why they like it.
There are a couple versions of this anime. There is Negima!? And Negima! It follows Negima, a 10 year old boy who is some kind of genius. He graduates college, and ends up being a teacher at an all girls’ school.
Of course all his students fall in love with him even though they are about 3 years older 
then him. Yes I know weird in a kind of pedophilic way, but it is mostly puppy love and nothing too sexually excessive.
Anyways, he is oblivious to the fact that he is sort of a playboy to all the girl students. As the episodes progress each girl has an episode or two to explore their interest in him.
He is not only a teacher but also a (kind of) wizard in training on the side. I guess they needed something else to add to the series because how many episodes can you watch with teenage girls going googly eyes over a 10 year old nerd.
As a parent it is safe for young girls to watch. The sexuality is very veiled and the magical battles are not too intense. If you are looking for action and adventure there are a couple episodes you would enjoy, but they are too far and few.
