This is the third and final movie in the Tenchi Muyo movie trilogy. The animation is totally different from the other two. The characters are more human like, which I actually enjoyed. There is virtually no action in it until like the last 10 minutes. There is little, to no dialogue and the movie just drags on. This one at least has a sex scene so I wouldn’t recommend it to the kiddies.
Basically the story is about the ghost of Huruna, the woman that Yosho came to Earth with. She dies and he buries her and plants a tree at her grave. Apparently her spirit was trapped in the tree where she gained strength over the years and somehow kidnaps Tenchi and transports him to a parallel dimension. Tenchi does not remember anything from his life but lives with Huruna in a small apartment, is an art student and quite frankly lives a boring life. Ayeka and Ryoko see glimpses of Tenchi as they search for him but he disappears just as fast as he appears. Ms. Washu explains that the parallel dimensions overlap eachother for short periods of time. They finally figure out how to traverse the dimensions and find that Huruna is keeping Tenchi captive as revenge over Yosho, man everyone hates the Misaki family.
Anyway the characters are true to the series and I liked the animation. Other than that it was a waste of time. Just watch the first movie so you won’t be disappointed.
